4 Steps to Getting a Licence

1. Getting Your Provisional Licence

Before you can start your Driving Lessons you need to have your provisional driving licence. You can apply for this when you are 15 years and 9 months old. But you can’t start driving a car until you are 17 years old. (exceptions apply.) You can do that by clicking here:

2. Begin Your Lessons

Once you’ve received your licence the fun can begin! It’s time to book your driving lessons with The Driving Genie Ltd. We provide lessons to all levels of learner drivers, throughout Swindon, Calne, Chippenham and surrounding areas. We have a large choice of Driving Instructors, so we’re confident you’ll find one who suits your requirements.

3. Book Your Theory Test

Next you need to be thinking about booking your theory test. If you haven’t already started studying for this, now is the time! Our DVSA approved Driving Instructors will be able to help you learn the Highway code whilst you’re out and about on the road and answer any questions you may have. But, you’ll need to do your own practice too! Through our free Driving Genie app, you’ll have the opportunity to sign up for Theory Test training.

4. Book Your Practical Driving Test

Am I ready to take my test? That’s the burning question isn’t it? You’ll be able to track your progress and see your test readiness through our app. Through that and the support and advice from your Instructor, you’ll know when you’re ready.

Not everyone wanting driving lessons is a beginner. Although we of course cater for that, we also provide driving lessons for Part Trained learners, Test rescue for those who have failed their test and refresher courses, for those needing a bit of extra confidence.
